The SWAP! -Clothing Exchange, is an event that promotes the circular economy of textiles, where money does not change owners – only clothes. Bring your unnecessary, clean, and unbroken clothes for pre-collection, and you will receive SWAP! exchange coupons that can be used at the afternoon event. Welcome to make new second-hand finds – let’s together extend the lifespan of clothes.
Located at LUT Lappeenranta campus, 1st floor.
THIS IS HOW SWAP WORKS:
- Please bring clean and usable clothes during pre-collection time, from 10 to 12. You will receive one clothing exchange SWAP! coupon for each item of clothing you donate, with a maximum of 10 coupons.
- The number of clothes you can donate is not limited, so you can bring more than 10 items.
- If necessary, you can also bring your exchange clothes during the SWAP! event.
- The actual exchange event, SWAP!, will be held from 13 to 17. Come and make great second-hand finds.
- No money is needed, you “purchase” clothing for yourself with the SWAP! coupon. One garment / SWAP! coupon.
- If you do not have clothes to exchange in your closet, no worries! We offer you two SWAP! coupons at the event. A warm welcome!
The event is organized by the ETKATEX Textile Waste into Circulation -project. Clothes left over from the event will be delivered to SaimaanVirta recycling/second hand store. The project is co-funded by the EU and the Regional Council of South Karelia.

SWAP! -vaatteidenvaihtotapahtuma on tekstiilien kiertotaloutta buustaava tapahtuma, jossa raha ei vaihda omistajaa – vain vaatteet. Tuo omat tarpeettomat, puhtaat ja ehjät, vaatteesi aamusta ennakkokeräykseen ja saat vaihtolipukkeita, jotka saat iltapäivällä vaihdettua sinulle uusiin, second-hand vaatteisiin. Tervetuloa tekemään löytöjä – laitetaan yhdessä vaatteet kiertämään ja pidennetään niiden elin- ja käyttöikää.
Paikkana LUT Lappeenrannan kampus, 1. kerroksen sisääntuloaula.
NÄIN SWAP TOIMII:
- Otamme vastaan puhtaita ja ehjiä vaatteita ennakkokeräyksessä klo 10–12. Saat yhden vaatteidenvaihtosetelin, eli SWAP! -setelin yhtä lahjoittamaasi vaatetta vastaan, kuitenkin maksimissaan 10 kpl.
- Lahjoitettavien vaatteiden määrää ei ole kuitenkaan rajoitettu, voit siis tuoda enemmänkin kuin 10 vaatetta – tärkeintä on saada vaatteet kiertämään.
- Voit tarvittaessa tuoda vaatteitasi vaihtoon vielä itse tapahtumankin aikana.
- Itse vaihtotapahtuma SWAP! pidetään klo 13–17. Tule paikanpäälle tekemään second-hand löytöjä.
- Rahaa ei tarvita, vaan lunastat vaatelöydöt itsellesi SWAP! – setelillä. Yksi vaate / yksi SWAP!-seteli.
- Eikö kaapistasi löydy kierrätettäviä vaatteita? Ei huolta, tarjoamme tapahtumapäivänä vastaanottopisteeltä kaksi SWAP! -seteliä, tule ja nouda omasi. Lämpimästi tervetuloa!
Tapahtuman järjestää ETKATEX Etelä-Karjalan poistotekstiilit kiertoon -hanke. Vaatteet, jota jäävät yli tapahtumasta, toimitetaan SaimaanVirta ry:n kierrätysmyymälään. Hanke on EU:n ja Etelä-Karjalan liiton osarahoittama.
